We were inspired to start this network because of the success of the entire personal finance blogosphere over the past year.

A few months ago, I did some research into just how much the personal finance blogosphere was progressing.  My results were that the pf blogosphere is growing at a rate of 9% per month or 108% this year.  I published my finding on my blog with this article: Half a Million Reasons to be a Personal Financial Blogger.

Then a few weeks ago, Pinyo posted an article for his blogs first birthday and in the article Pinyo detailed each contribution that helped his blog grow. It was is the detailed of that article that convinced me to start this blog network.

Pinyo said; “I felt that the start of the M-Network was the best decision I’ve made and the group is the biggest contributor to my success”

How Do You Start a Blog Network?

At this point, I needed some inspiration to figure out how to start a blog network – and that’s when I found this great article, How To Start A Blog Network.

I decided to start small and simple and expanding as we go... So I contacted a few other pf bloggers and we decided on the details that lead to this network.

Here are a some other personal finance blog networks that have provided us with great examples.

One of the things I liked about the blog network business model was the low cost of entry. Thanks to a profit sharing arrangement with the bloggers, I am able to have many people working for me without a large up front cost.
